Remaining Revenue Opportunity

As someone responsible for yielding rates, forecasting, budgeting, and making daily yield decisions, I would like to suggest adding a new view within Yield Management. In addition to showing how many rooms I have remaining and how many rooms I started with, could, underneath these, in a new cell calculate the remaining revenue potential for each future date based on current inventory availability and current selling rates.

A tool like this would allow me to quickly compare the revenue already on the books (through reporting I already use) with the remaining revenue potential to help me make more informed projections. It would help determine whether my remaining availability and current rates are sufficient to meet budget goals or identify where I may fall short and need to adjust rates to improve my chances of reaching targets.

I understand that this calculation could technically be created through an Excel template with formulas. However, manually entering the available rooms by room type and the current rate for each room type can become very time-consuming, especially when analyzing a week, two weeks, or more of future dates.

I would view this feature as a decision-support tool rather than a required function for all users. Because not every RDP user would need access to this level of detail, the view could potentially be controlled through fence-level permissions.
